{"id":7935,"date":"2019-05-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-30T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rgei-2.hellopomelo.space\/uncategorized\/sateri-becomes-worlds-largest-viscose-producer-with-latest-acquisition\/"},"modified":"2024-06-05T11:54:10","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T03:54:10","slug":"sateri-becomes-worlds-largest-viscose-producer-with-latest-acquisition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rgei-2.hellopomelo.space\/id\/corporate\/sateri-becomes-worlds-largest-viscose-producer-with-latest-acquisition\/","title":{"rendered":"Sateri Becomes World\u2019s Largest Viscose Producer With Latest Acquisition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sateri, a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sateri.com\/about-royal-golden-eagle-rge\/\">RGE group<\/a> of companies, has propelled itself to become the world\u2019s largest producer of viscose fibre, a natural and sustainable raw material found in everyday items like textiles, baby wipes and personal hygiene products.<\/p>\n<p>With its recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sateri.com\/news_events\/sateri-acquires-viscose-mill-in-jiangsu-china-strengthening-position-as-worlds-leading-viscose-fibre-producer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">acquisition<\/a> of 250,000mtpa capacity Jiangsu Xiangsheng Viscose Fiber Co., Ltd, its combined annual production capacity of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sateri.com\/corporate\/operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">four viscose mills<\/a> in China is now 1.1 million metric tonnes.<\/p>\n<h2>Growth and Transformation<\/h2>\n<p>Sateri won the bid for the Suqian-based Xiangsheng mill in a public auction on 27 April 2019. Renamed Sateri Jiangsu, Sateri\u2019s fourth viscose mill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sateri.com\/Sateri+Jiangsu+Fiber+Co+Ltd+Officially+Opens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opened on 9 May 2019<\/a>, in a ceremony witnessed by hundreds of employees, customers, and representatives from government and financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/embed\/feed\/update\/urn:li:share:6536513513001713664\" width=\"504\" height=\"596\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The latest acquisition will enable Sateri to bring high-quality viscose to a larger group of customers, including those in the northern China market. With plans to upgrade and expand mill production facilities as part of the company\u2019s longer term vision, the announcement was greeted with excitement as it is expected to contribute to the growth and transformation of Suqian as a vibrant textile and garment hub.<\/p>\n<p>A 700 million yuan (USD105 million) investment to increase production capacity from 220,000 to 300,000 tonnes by end of 2019 is planned as Sateri works with downstream partners to accelerate the sustainable development of Suqian City and its surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<h2>High Quality and Sustainable Viscose<\/h2>\n<p>The company\u2019s world-leading production network now includes four viscose mills in Sateri Fujian, Sateri Jiangxi, Sateri Jiujiang and Sateri Jiangsu. Its range of high-quality viscose products is independently verified as safe and responsibly produced.<\/p>\n<p>It is the world\u2019s first viscose company to obtain the MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX\u00ae product label. Other certifications include STeP by OEKO-TEX\u00ae, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX\u00ae, Chain of Custody (CoC) certification from the Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification\u2122 (PEFC\u2122), ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. It is also one of the world\u2019s first viscose mills to have completed the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Focused on sustainable viscose manufacturing, Sateri recently launched <em>Tracer<\/em>, a traceability and tracking tool.
