Asia Symbol<\/a>‘s 2018-2019 Sustainability Report was awarded Top 100 CSR Report in China at the International Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility at the 3rd<\/sup> China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on 6 Nov 2020.<\/p>\n

Of the over 180 sustainability reports submitted, Asia symbol’s sustainability report<\/a> was among the highest rated.<\/p>\n

CIIE saw the first and largest CSR and sustainability reports launch ever, involving companies from various industries across China. Organised by the government and industry associations, the event demonstrated how companies in China are blazing the trail in CSR and sustainable development. The forum was hosted by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the companies in the field of Industry and Information Technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Asia Symbol 2018-2019 Sustainability Report (read it now<\/a>)<\/p><\/div>\n

Asia Symbol’s 2018-2019 Sustainability Report, the fourth published since 2013, covers the company’s sustainability strategy and performance, detailing the commitments and milestones in its sustainable development roadmap. The report also includes case studies that demonstrate the company’s focus areas in value creation for better life; energy saving and environmental protection for a better world; and people care for a harmonious society – 3 areas on which Asia Symbol’s sustainability policy is founded.<\/p>\n

Head of Asia Symbol Management Committee, Max Chen said that Asia Symbol implements the 5 Cs principle of creating value for community, country, climate, customer and company, drawing reference from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> (UN SDGs) as a framework to assess the company’s economic, environmental and social impact.<\/p>\n

As of 2019, the cumulative investment in environmental protection exceeded 5 billion RMB (over US$ 750m). Investments in 2018 and 2019 were made in ultra-low emission transformation projects to make great reduction of air pollutant emissions.<\/p>\n

Already widely recognised for its longstanding exemplary corporate citizenship<\/a>, Asia Symbol has in the last two years not only invested almost 9 million RMB in community development initiatives, but boasts almost 8,000 volunteer service hours.<\/p>\n
