They joined other prominent business, academic, civil society and political leaders at the conference, themed \u201cThe New Global Context.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event brought together the global leaders to engage in high-level strategic dialogue, mapping key transformations that continue to reshape the world.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Anderson Tanoto shared his perspectives on the relevance of WEF Davos.<\/p>\n<p>He recognises that in the digital age, what a company does is equally as important as how the company is being perceived. Participation in the WEF annual event enables companies to engage with stakeholders to understand what is happening and also to communicate the company\u2019s position.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2015 @ Davos\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XZqvw1VJ1QE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>As a leader in RGE&#8217;s business operations and the philanthropic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tanotofoundation.org\/\">Tanoto Foundation<\/a>, Anderson Tanoto has worked in the RGE business operations in Kerinci, in the Riau province of Indonesia, which he terms \u201cground zero, where things actually happen\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson Tanoto\u00a0added that climate change is a key concern for him. Climate change is happening at a fast pace and is a reality that has to be accepted and worked with. He affirmed that RGE companies in the commodities sector, in both forestry and agriculture, are part of the solution and\u00a0not part of the problem.<\/p>\n<p>In committing to further the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/updates\/world-economic-forum-2017-highlights-from-davos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WEF<\/a>\u2019s mission, RGE has demonstrated its dedication to playing a role in solving social and economic problems faced in Indonesia and globally.
