Director Rudi Fajar received the awards on behalf of RAPP on 10 September 2015.<\/p>\n<p>(more news in Bahasa Indonesia <a href=\"http:\/\/pekanbaru.tribunnews.com\/2015\/09\/11\/rapp-raih-11-bendera-emas-penghargaan-tertinggi-smk3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h2>Golden Flags for excellent safety and health implementation<\/h2>\n<p>The \u201cGoldens Flags\u201d recognise the efforts and successful implementation of programmes in line with the K3 Management System (known as SMK3, where K3 refers to Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja). These were implemented in the RAPP Mill, Forestry Division and nine Estate operational areas in the industrial plantation forest in Siak, Kuantan Singingi and Kampar.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5326\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rgei-2.hellopomelo.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Rudi-Fajar-receives-safety-award.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5326\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5326\" src=\"https:\/\/rgei-2.hellopomelo.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Rudi-Fajar-receives-safety-award-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"RAPP director Rudi Fajar (middle) being congratulated and receiving the awards\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5326\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">RAPP director Rudi Fajar (middle) being congratulated and receiving the awards<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The recipients were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RAPP Mill<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division HO<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Cerenti)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Logas)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Pelalawan)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Mandau)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Meranti)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Teso)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Ukui)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Baserah)<\/li>\n<li>RAPP Forestry Division (Langgam)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Labour Minister M Hanif Dhakiri presented the awards to Mr Rudi Fajar and the management of business units present.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia labour law requires all companies with 100 or more employee should have the SMK3 (Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja). The SMK3 comprises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stipulation of the work safety and health policies<\/li>\n<li>Planning<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of the plan<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation<\/li>\n<li>Review and improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(More info on SMK3 <a href=\"http:\/\/jakartaglobe.beritasatu.com\/archive\/indonesian-govt-implements-work-safety-standards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Each company\u2019s SMK3 submission will be assessed by a Minister-appointed independent auditor.<\/p>\n<h2>Safety first:\u00a0Valuing \u00a0and protecting employees<\/h2>\n<p>Mr Rudi Fajar said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We always prioritise safety across our concession areas. Our forestry division has met all the 166 criteria set by the government on Occupational Health and Safety (SMK3). These awards validate the hard work of all our employees in implementing safety and health management.
