The formation of the Fire-Free Alliance (FFA) was announced 11 March 2016. The alliance is a voluntary, multi-stakeholder platform to help solve land and forest fires in Indonesia. (see news release<\/a>)<\/p>\n

RGE companies APRIL Group and Asian Agri are among the founding members, which include leading forestry and agricultural companies Musim Mas<\/a> and Wilmar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These companies are joined by non-governmental organisations PM.Haze<\/a>, Rumah Pohon<\/a> and IDH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Fire-Free Alliance<\/a>\u00a0announcement was made on the second day of the general assembly of the Tropical Forest Alliance<\/a> (TFA) in Jakarta. It was seen as part of larger preparations to handle the potential threat of forest and land fires. (more on Jakarta Globe<\/a>)<\/p>\n
