Close to 1,000 entries were received from the various RGE business groups worldwide, demonstrating the sheer enthusiasm and creativity of all staff, as they put thought into how they can contribute to RGE\u2019s next lap of growth.<\/p>\n<p>After much deliberation, the top 12 entries were selected, coming from different operating regions across the world. These 12 entries, which depict everyday moments in the lives of our co-workers, emerged as the entries that embody RGE\u2019s core values and aspirations as it enters a new golden era of growth.<\/p>\n<p>The top 12 winning entries were displayed during the RGE55 celebration event in Singapore in November, attended by more than 450 senior leaders and staff from around the world. Here are the 12 winning entries.<\/p>\n<p>Kesuma Wijaya<br \/>\nAsian Agri<br \/>\n<strong>Supporting Global Climate Goals<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Kesuma-Wijaya-Asian-Agri.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Kesuma-Wijaya-Asian-Agri-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asian Agri has 10 biogas plants at its mills, which convert organic palm waste into clean renewable energy. This helps advance the company\u2019s progress towards 100% use of renewables, in line with Asian Agri 2030 sustainability targets and the Indonesian Government\u2019s climate goals.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan de Oliviera Neves<br \/>\nBracell<br \/>\n<strong>Forestry Operations Start in the Nursery<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Jonathan-de-Oliveira-Neves-Bracell-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10071\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Jonathan-de-Oliveira-Neves-Bracell-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bracell has a nursery production capacity of 80 million seedlings per year across five nurseries &#8211; two in Bahia state and three in S\u00e3o Paulo. Bracell\u2019s nurseries are an essential component of its overall forestry operations, providing high quality seedlings for the company\u2019s plantations.<\/p>\n<p>Dochlas Sianturi<br \/>\nAPRIL<br \/>\n<strong>Protecting Landscape from Fire<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Dochlas-Sianturi-APRIL-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10072\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Dochlas-Sianturi-APRIL-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>APRIL Group has implemented a strict \u2018No Burn\u2019 policy since it began operations in 1993. APRIL continues to invest in fire suppression resources including fire monitoring towers, closed-circuit television cameras, as well as satellite hotspot monitoring data.<\/p>\n<p>Qiao Xiao Qiao<br \/>\nAsia Symbol<br \/>\n<strong>Quality Control in Action<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Qiao-Xiao-Qiao-Asia-Symbol-v3-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10073\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Qiao-Xiao-Qiao-Asia-Symbol-v3-1024x692.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"439\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asia Symbol has a complete quality management system that conforms to the ISO9001 standard, runs through the entire product life cycle and covers all elements impacting product quality. The company has introduced intelligent systems for inspection and provides ongoing training to production workers to continuously raise the level of product quality.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Cahyo Nugroho<br \/>\nApical<br \/>\n<strong>Driving the Green Energy Transition<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Muhammad-Cahyo-Nugroho-Apical-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10074\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Muhammad-Cahyo-Nugroho-Apical-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"867\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As Indonesia\u2019s second-largest biodiesel producer, Apical has allocated 80% of its production to support the country\u2019s target to increase the use of biodiesel as a clean, alternative energy source. Through its B30 Programme, Indonesia became the first country in the world to commit to use 30% biodiesel as the standard at fuel pumps.<\/p>\n<p>Christiano Wiltgen<br \/>\nBracell<br \/>\n<strong>Training the Next Generation of Firefighters<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Christiano-Wiltgen-Bracell-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10075\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Christiano-Wiltgen-Bracell-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bracell invests heavily in its fire prevention and response capabilities. The company provides ongoing training to fire-fighting personnel, in order to mitigate the risk of fire in its own concessions and in surrounding areas. This complements Bracell\u2019s community based fire prevention initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Wang Zhi<br \/>\nAsia Symbol<br \/>\n<strong>Continuous Improvement in Productivity<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Wang-Zhi-Asia-Symbol-v3-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10076\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Wang-Zhi-Asia-Symbol-v3-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"867\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asia Symbol has become one of the largest manufacturers of fine paper in China, and also produces kraft pulp, dissolving pulp, liquid packaging board, and high-grade ivory board for international and domestic markets. The company invests considerable resources in process engineering to improve overall productivity and minimise downtime, while efficiently managing costs.<\/p>\n<p>George Setiawan Kusuma<br \/>\nAPR<br \/>\n<strong>100% Renewable Energy of Viscose<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/George-Setiawan-Kusuma-APR.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10077\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/George-Setiawan-Kusuma-APR-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) produces 100% natural and biodegradable viscose rayon used in textile products that are exported around the world. APR has operated on 100% renewable energy since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Qiu Fan<br \/>\nPacific Energy<br \/>\n<strong>Clean Power, Clean Production<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Qiu-Fan-Pacific-Energy-China-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10079\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Qiu-Fan-Pacific-Energy-China-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pacific Energy is actively involved in developing large-scale clean power projects in China. Pacific Energy\u2019s new clean power projects are based on industry best practices and a rigorous focus on equipment maintenance and worker safety.<\/p>\n<p>Mutazar<br \/>\nTanoto Foundation<br \/>\n<strong>Preparing Today\u2019s Teachers, Tomorrow\u2019s Leaders<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Mutazar-Tanoto-Foundation-v3-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Mutazar-Tanoto-Foundation-v3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"434\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through its PINTAR program, which means \u2018clever\u2019 or \u2018smart\u2019 in Indonesian, Tanoto Foundation enhances basic education in Indonesia by improving teaching quality in schools. Tanoto Foundation works with partner schools to create local and regional centers of excellence, then partners with government, teacher training institutes and associations to spread best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Firman Muda Harahap<br \/>\nAPRIL<br \/>\n<strong>Plantations Start with the Best Seeds<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Firman-Muda-Harahap-APRIL-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-10081\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Firman-Muda-Harahap-APRIL-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>APRIL Group\u2019s nurseries are key to the effective management of the company\u2019s forestry operations across 447,984 hectares of plantations. The nurseries are responsible for the production of approximately 200 million new saplings per year across owned and supplier concessions.<\/p>\n<p>Cai Xiao Lin<br \/>\nSateri<br \/>\n<strong>Quality as a Guiding Principle<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Cai-Xiao-Lin-Sateri-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-10082\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inside-rge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Cai-Xiao-Lin-Sateri-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sateri believes that product quality is the foundation of the company\u2019s development and success.
